Friday night. My mother came into my bedroom at night. It had clearly been a rough and hectic day, finishing last minute preparations for tomorrow. “Do you mind some business?”
I looked up from my laptop. “That?s fine.”
She sat down beside me on my bed and I closed my pc. “Today was a busy day.”
I laughed. “That?s an understatement. I wanted to pull my hair out.”
“Oh don?t do that. I already paid in advance for the hair stylists.” She silently chuckled to herself. “So, what time is Beau coming tomorrow morning?”
Suddenly, the stress of the ring on my finger seemed to loom more than my mind once more. “Um, 9 with Carson, I believe.”
Regina detected some slight hesitation on her daughter?s response. “How are things going in between the two of you?”
I really should tell her, I believed. I mean, Beau?s parents already know. Why shouldn?t mine? “Mom, I’ve something to let you know. It?s not poor or something, depending on how you examine it.”
Oh my god, Regina believed. She?s pregnant. I knew it. I knew I shouldn?t have let her continue to see that?pervert. It?s ok, Regina. You’ll be able to handle this. “What is it, honey?” she asked calmly.
Here goes nothing. “Well on my birthday, Beau kind of?proposed.” I watched my mother?s face show momentary relief and then confusion. When she didn?t reply quickly, I continued. “He gave me an engagement ring. And I guess whenever we finish school and college and stuff, we?ll get married.”
Regina chose her response carefully. “Sweetheart, this really is a massive commitment. This really is marriage along with the rest of one’s life.”
“I know, Mom. It?s crazy and reckless and so not my old self. But Beau is?heaven-sent in my eyes. He?s so great to me and I actually think I can really like and be with him forever.”
“Well, I see there?s no talking you out of this given that you clearly feel this powerful. But honey, you need to tell me these items when they happen.”
“Ok, I promise I will,” I replied honestly. My mom kissed my forehead and then left the room. Tomorrow could be the weeks of planning put to the test and I hope it goes smoothly.

Saturday came quick. I went out to the helipad to get Beau and Carson. They got off the helicopter with their bags and walked toward me. “Hey Carson. Hey baby.”
Beau smiled eagerly. “Hey gorgeous.”
“I missed you.” I kissed Beau. “Both of you.” I hugged Carson. “So what do you believe of my house?”
Carson looked it over. “I?m impressed so far. Maybe you?ve had Manchester blood in you all along.”
I laughed to myself. “Let?s get settled, guys.”
Back at school the limos had been arriving to take the party guests to the Palace. Frankie was excited that Malayka had allowed her to bring Blake as her date. Madison decided to obtain prepared in Francesca?s room so she wouldn?t have to handle Scarlett?s bitching.
“How?s Tanner treating you?” Frankie asked as she did the finishing touches to her class up-do.
Madison smiled and spun around in her gown. “He?s genuinely very good. I?m glad Malayka is letting me take him to the Cotillion. And we?ll certainly use the suite afterwards. He is INSATIABLE!”
Frankie smirked disapprovingly. “All you guys ever do is hook up. Have you talked to Preston lately?”
“No, and I don?t care. He?s out of my life and I am over him. I don?t even care if he shows up tonight, with or without having a date,” Madison responded. She noticed Frankie?s expression. “Don?t be concerned about me girl. Just think about getting an excellent time with Blake. You two make a terrific couple.”
Francesca grinned at the believed of Blake. “I believe so, too. I hope it works out.”
In Chandler Hall, Sebastian looked at himself in the mirror, dressed in his sharp tux that matched Victoria?s gown. “Have I gone soft?”
Garrett, adjusting his tie, glanced at his friend. “You?re not the very same Sebastian you used to be, if that?s what you mean.”
“I just need to have some thing difficult. Victoria provides it up too easily.” Sebastian noticed Garrett texting. “Talking to Emerson?”
“No. I?m in fact talking to Scarlett.”
Sebastian?s head snapped in Garrett?s direction. “Scarlett? About what?”
Garrett replied indifferently, “I?ve been hooking up with her.”
Sebastian smirked. “Garrett, I didn?t know you had it in you. Nevertheless, you do know Emerson will kill you dead when she finds out.”
“So she?s not gonna,” Garrett responded confidently. “Trust me.”
?
“So exactly where?s this date I?m supposed to thank you for?” Carson asked impatiently.
It was an hour just before the party and we had been in my hotel suite waiting and preparing. I was becoming primped and plucked in a chair by hair and makeup artists.
“She texted me that she?s on her way up to the room.” I had but to put on my gown but the boys had been all prepared.
Beau looked amazing in his Armani Collezoni Classic Tuxedo, Excenter Biretro watch, Pave diamond cufflinks, and diamond class ring. He was so sharp and sexy. He and Carson were kicked back on the couches enjoying champagne and watching me get prepared.
“So what does this girl appear like anyway?” He wondered.
“She?s really sweet. Her father is Spanish and her mother is Portuguese. You?ll like her, don?t worry.” I assured Carson.
“That nonetheless doesn?t answer my?”
There was a knock in the door. Among the staff went to the door and opened it. There stood a five?7?? golden-brown haired, blue-eyed girl in a head turning Oscar de la Renta original. Her slim figure walked more than to our area of the suite. Carson was captivated by her charm.
“Guys,” I announced from my seat. “I?d like you to meet my friend Josefina Ortiz.”
Carson stood up, still enchanted. “My name is Carson Devereaux and it’s an honor.” He kissed her hand.
She smiled and spoke in a slightly accented angelic voice. “It?s a pleasure to meet you, too. And please, call me Josie. The only people who call me Josefina are my parents, adults, and at times, Malayka.”
I grinned and she hugged me. “Josie! It?s been forever!”
“I know. You?ve been M.I.A considering that you left.” She accused.
“Well, it is possible to blame him for that.” I pointed to Beau. “This is my boyfriend, Beau Beecham.”
He stood to greet her. “It?s excellent to lastly meet one of Malayka?s Baltimore friends.”
“Likewise.” Josie looked at me. “Oh muy bueno chica.”
I giggled. “Carson is going to be your date tonight. I hope you don?t mind.”
Josie looked back in the handsome man behind her. “No. Not at all!”
Carson grinned sexily.
I got up from the chair, finished with my hair and makeup. “Ok. You guys need to leave so I can get dressed. Shoo!”
?
The guests and celebrities had been arriving and becoming served hors d?ouerves within the ballroom. Manchester folks all arrived together in the limousines I had arranged for them. I came down to the ballroom level after I was accomplished dressing and all the guests were admitted. Beau was waiting for me and I?m pretty certain his heart skipped a beat when he saw me. I was in an Eve of Milady strapless beaded silk gown having a fitted bodice and A-line skirt. My jewelry consisted of a diamond cluster necklace, bracelet, and earrings all from Harry Winston along with Beau?s promise ring. I topped the outfit off with gold Dior T-strap peep toe sandals. “So?what do you feel?”
Beau seemed speechless. “Malayka?you appear timelessly beautiful. It?s crazy. Baby?just wow.” I smiled and he gave me a peck on my forehead. He supplied his arm. “Ready to come out?”
“Yes. Let?s do this.”
We reached the door and waited for the musical cue. A string orchestra could be playing for my entrance. I could really feel my heart racing.
Beau picked up on this. “Baby.”
“Yea?”
“I?m here. Don?t be nervous.” I looked up at him. “I adore you,” he whispered sweetly.
The music played along with the doors opened wide. Beau and I walked into the ballroom together. We floated down the actions as the guests below watched us. The crowd applauded as we came to a step within the center of the dance floor. The orchestra began playing Seal?s ?Kiss from a Rose.? Beau and I began our rehearsed waltz. I by no means took my eyes away from his until the dance ended.
The Master of Ceremonies was Morgan Freeman. “Ladies and Gentlemen, now introducing Miss Malayka Thomas and her escort, Beau Beecham.”
The guests applauded as Beau led me from the dance floor to the head table. My parents, Sage, Beau, and I sat at the head table. The lights dimmed as well as the performances began. Jabbawockeez and Fannypack rocked the dance floor. The waiters served us a marvelous meal.
Beau?s parents sat at a nearby table with fellow billionaires Giovanni and Pietro Ferrero and Marta Ortega.
“Look at them,” Alana gawked. “They?re smitten.”
Walter smiled approvingly. “Perfect. Absolutely perfect. Beau has secured a marriage into eight billion dollars to a very accomplished young lady.”
Alana watched Beau affectionately feed Malayka a cherry. She smirked, realizing that her son?s future could be quite bright and green.
Carson was enjoying his time with Josie. “So how did you and Malayka meet?”
She sipped her water. “Before we attended Garrison Forest together, we had been already childhood playmates. Our parents would set up days for us to get together and?play.”
“But you?re from Spain.” He was confused.
“Yes, properly. We did spend days at a time together. Those flights had been a bitch at times.”
He smiled. “I see. So, are you currently staying within the hotel tonight?”
“That?s the strategy. But I?m not seeking forward to staying inside the very same room as my parents.”
“You could always share a suite with me.” He offered.
Josie looked at Carson who was smirking back at her. “I?d love to.”
The rest of the evening?s performances came from David Blaine, NLT, Chris Brown, Metro Station, and Jesse McCartney. I received birthday wishes and shout outs from my household, the performers, celebrity guests, other socialites, and Beau?s parents. The party gifts stacked greater and greater on the table.
Morgan took the microphone at the finish of the night. “The Thomas family members would like to thank you for coming to share a part in Malayka?s big night. Enjoy the rest of your evening and in the event you aren’t staying inside the hotel, drive safely.”
It was three:00 a.m. when the party within the ballroom ended. The hotel arranged for my gifts to be sent up to my room.
(Within the lobby) Beau and I had been heading as much as our suite when Josie caught up to us.
“Malayka, wait!” Carson was with her. “If my parents ask, I?m staying with you tonight.” The two had been hold hands.
I looked back and forth between the two of them. “Seriously? With Carson?”
She stuck out her lip. Carson begged, “Please Malayka?”
I nodded in defeat. “Fine. Be cautious.”
Beau warned his friend. “Don?t be stupid, Carson.”
?
Scarlett showed up in the Palace around 3:30 a.m. She saw men and women piling into the elevators to get to their rooms that the little tart purchased them. She strolled to the concierge?s desk.
“May I assist you?” He asked.
“Yes. My boyfriend checked in tonight with the Thomas party and he told me to meet him here when my plane landed. Garrett Carmichael?”
He looked at his pc. “One moment. Ah yes. Room 609.”
She batted her eyelashes. “Thank you, very much.”
?
Beau and I entered our suite. “I can?t believe my parents are truly letting us share a room together.”
“Well, we’re sort of engaged.” He wrapped his arms about me.
I giggled. “Mrs. Malayka Beecham.”
Beau grinned blissfully. “I like the sound of that, don?t you?”
“I could get employed to it.”
He playfully flirted with me. “Oh, could you now?”
“Yea,” I throatily purred. “Oh yea.”
We began to makeout feverishly. Beau unhooked and unzipped my gown and it slid down to my feet as I stepped out of it. I pulled off Beau?s jacket and shirt. Our bare chests rubbed up against every other. He fumbled out of his pants as we continued our frenzy to the bedroom. We were in ecstasy?
We had been breathless and drained. Beau and I cuddled and kissed for a while until we fell asleep in every others? embraces.
(In yet another portion of the hotel) Emerson knocked on Room 609. She decided she?d show up and surprise Garrett. Just because she wasn?t invited to the Cotillion doesn’t mean she can?t stay in the public hotel. She heard voices and footsteps inside.
(inside) Garrett headed towards the door, speaking to Scarlett. “It should be room?service.”
Garrett opened the door to discover Emerson wide-eyed and pissed. “What the fuck is going on here?!”
Scarlett smiled. “What does it look like, Emerson? I?m fucking your boyfriend. How do you really feel? Oh wait, smile for the camera!” Scarlett took a picture with her telephone of Emerson?s fuming expression.
Emerson ran at Scarlett and attacked her. Scarlett got 1 very good scratch across Emerson?s cheek. Garrett pulled them apart. Scarlett backed away from the two of them.
Garrett was holding Emerson. Scarlett chuckled. “You two are pathetic.”
Emerson was panting in labored breaths. “No, you?re just a stupid slut.” She pushed away from Garrett.
Scarlett picked up her purse and walked towards the door, turning about for one last word. “Oh Garrett, thanks for the sex. It?s more than.” She left.
